Palestinian sources reported Friday afternoon that six Palestinians were injured by IDF fire near the Sufa crossing in the Gaza Strip.
The incident took place as thousands of Hamas supporters took part in a demonstration organized by the movement in protest of the siege Israel imposed on Gaza.
The protestors approached the crossing and reported of gunshots heard in the area, apparently by IDF troops trying to prevent them from nearing the crossing.
The Palestinians report that six of the demonstrators were injured. The IDF said in response that the soldiers used tear gas and fired warning shots against the Palestinian protestors in order to prevent them from crossing into Israel through the border fence.
