Finance Ministry Minister Zeev Elkin responded in an interview with the ynet studio to remarks by U.S. President Donald Trump, who called for Netanyahu's trial to be canceled: "You can understand the U.S. president. This week the trial is supposed to resume, during wartime it would have been right to postpone the Prime Minister's testimony or slow it down. There is something illogical here." Elkin also addressed the military campaign against Iran, saying that "we achieved our goals and ended the war within the timeframe we created in advance."
