3 illegal West Bank outposts evacuated

IDF, Border Guard forces destroy traditional Sukkot structures built by right-wing activists near settlements; settlers leave area without objection

The Israel Defense Forces on Monday morning evacuated three illegal outposts built by right-wing activists on Sunday.
Right-wing activists went up to three new spots in the West Bank. The first outpost erected was "Ma'a lot Halhul," between the settlements of Karmei Tzur and Kiryat Arba. The second was "Reches Migron" near the Migron outpost, and the third was "Reches Sela" near the settlement of Bracha.
The outposts were built by the Land of Israel Faithful and Youth for the Land of Israel movements, who declared that their goal is to continue building in the Land of Israel and erecting new outposts and spots near existing communities.
The IDF and police did not prevent the activists from arriving at those places, planting trees and building a sukkah (traditional holiday structure). The events were held peacefully.
On Sunday night and Monday morning, IDF and Border Guard forces arrived and declared the place a closed military area. Two sukkot were destroyed in "Reches Sela" and one sukkah was removed in the "Reches Migron" and "Ma'a lot Halhul" outposts.
When the rightists were presented with the closed military area order, they left the place immediately without objecting.
