More than 30 rockets fired from Gaza Tuesday

Rocket fire from Strip persists despite presence of IDF forces; infant lightly hurt in Gedera

At least 34 rockets and mortar shells were fired from north Gaza toward Israel since the early hours of Tuesday morning. In one of the barrages a Grad rocket landed near a house in Gedera, lightly injuring a three-month-old girl.
At 2 pm nine Qassam rockets landed in open areas in Sderot, Sha'ar Hanegev Regional Council, and Sdot Negev Regional Council. One of the rockets landed directly in the city of Sderot causing a number of injuries.
At around noon eight Qassam rockets landed in open areas in the Eshkol Regional Council, Sha'ar Hanegev Regional Council, and Sdot Negev. Three more rockets landed in open areas near Sderot. There were no reports of injury or damage in either attack.
Two Grad rockets fell in the Beersheba area, but caused no injury or damage.
Earlier Tuesday, six Qassams landed in open areas in the Eshkol and Sha'ar Hanegev regional councils, while another rocket fell in an open area near Netivot. Two more rockets fired from Gaza overnight landed within the Eshkol Regional Council's limits, causing no injury or damage.
