A police officer and another person were shot in an office building in the heart of New York City, which houses leading financial companies in the US as well as the National Football League (NFL) offices. The Associated Press reported citing a source familiar with the details. New York City Mayor Eric Adams announced that an investigation has been opened following an "active shooter" and advised residents in the area to stay inside their homes. FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino said the bureau is also involved in the investigation.
