National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir said that summoning Police Commissioner Danny Levy to a discussion on election integrity is "a routine and accepted step." Ben-Gvir added that "it is the minister's duty, as was also emphasized in the Meron Committee, to ask questions, to prevent harm to human life, to examine preparedness and to point out gaps if they exist." According to him, "a meeting between the prime minister, the national security minister and the police commissioner is routine and completely legitimate. There is no impropriety in this, on the contrary - it is part of the responsibility placed on the political echelon."
