It was unclear who planted the bomb or who the explosive device was meant to target. Police have launched an investigation into the incident, and believe it was part of an attempt to "settle a score" among criminals.
The explosion rocked the street, and neighbors who stepped out of their houses to the sound of the blast noticed a Mazda parked on the street on fire.
The bomb was planted in the front of the vehicle, leaving the two women and the little girl in the back seat uninjured.
Forensics experts arrived at the scene to investigate the blast, and said the device was most likely planted under the engine at the front of the car.
It was unclear whether the bomb was detonated by remote control or was attached to a timer.
Police said it was a miracle that the three emerged without any bodily harm.
