Maya Shem: 'For the Investigation I Was Asked to Cut a Lock of Hair - And Was Thrown Back to Days of Captivity'

|
Hostage survivor Maya Shem shared at the Hostages Square about her moments of abduction and stay in Gaza: 'I was kidnapped by seven Hamas monsters who pulled me by my hair, I was afraid my scalp would tear off from the pain any moment. When the terrorists came to film me (for the captivity video), they were ordered to make me look good. One of the kidnappers approached me with scissors to cut my hair, and I resisted with what little strength I had. Recently, I went through a terrible event. For the investigation, I was asked to cut a lock of my long hair. The task was meant for me, to help me, but my body reacted again in horror, even to a small bald spot. In one moment I was thrown back to the days of captivity.'
