|
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on X that Israel and Syria have reached a ceasefire agreement, mediated by the United States. According to the report, under the agreement, the al-Suwayda issue will be transferred to the Americans, who will commit to monitoring the implementation of the provisions. Additionally, all Bedouin tribes and government forces will withdraw from Druze villages, whose factions will scan and verify they are clear of these forces. Local councils comprised of al-Suwayda residents will be established to handle service provision, and a committee will be formed to document violations and submit reports to the United States. It was also agreed that the towns of Quneitra and Daraa will be disarmed, and local security committees consisting of residents from these areas will be established, provided they do not possess heavy weapons.
