IDF investigating claims of injuries from shooting during West Bank unrest: 'It did not happen where the battalion commander was'

The IDF spokesperson addressed the unrest in Benjamin region, stating that preliminary investigation shows IDF forces "did not use live fire toward Israeli citizens in the area. It should be clarified that the battalion commander's force operating in the Baal Hazor area in the Benjamin division did not use live fire at all." Meanwhile, claims that there are casualties from IDF forces' fire are being investigated. According to the IDF spokesperson, near the friction site, masked individuals threw stones at a military vehicle, and the force responded with warning fire of three bullets. They are checking if there is a connection between this incident and the claim that an Israeli citizen was hit by a live bullet. The IDF spokesperson noted that this incident is being investigated "in all its aspects, including the warning fire."
