U.S. President Donald Trump wished a "speedy recovery" to Pope Leo XIV, who was diagnosed with lung cancer and underwent surgery to remove the lower lobe of his right lung. Trump was asked about the pope after a campaign rally in Arizona and told reporters: "I want to wish him all the best, any kind of cancer is a serious matter but it seems the medical prognosis is good. His brother is a friend of mine and he and his wife are big supporters of mine. Their whole house is MAGA (short for the slogan Make America Great Again). His brother loves him very much and that's enough for me. I wish him all the best and a speedy recovery."
