Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara has appealed to the High Court of Justice, stating that "the government's decision to turn the dismissal of the Attorney General into a completely political process is illegal and would enable political deals and affairs like the Bar-On Hebron case." According to her, "the government failed to establish a professional public committee that would support ending the Attorney General's term as required and only afterward promoted a complete political takeover of the process."
