Protesters blocked Highway 1 toward Tel Aviv near Sha'ar HaGai, in protest for the hostages. Police removed them and reopened the road to traffic after a few minutes, as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's convoy was expected to pass through the area. The activists reported that several were detained at the scene.
