According to Defense Ministry data, the number of Israel's fallen soldiers from 1860 to date stands at 25,644. In the past year, 170 fallen soldiers were added to this count, along with 54 disabled individuals who died as a result of their disabilities and were recognized as fallen soldiers of Israel. The circle of military bereavement in Israel currently includes 59,583 family members: 8,420 bereaved parents, 4,872 widows, 14,430 orphans, 31,814 bereaved siblings, 12 fiancées and 35 guardians.
