The IDF announced that the family of the second abducted casualty, whose name has not yet been cleared for publication, has been notified. The body was returned to Israel alongside the body of abducted casualty Ilan Weiss. According to the military, the rescue operation was carried out by the Southern Command in conjunction with Military Intelligence, Shin Bet and special forces. The operation was made possible thanks to intelligence from the hostage command center, Military Intelligence and Shin Bet.
