Director and screenwriter Yaakov (Yankul) Goldwasser, one of the prominent creators of Israeli cinema in the 1980s and 1990s, has died at the age of 76. Goldwasser worked for more than three decades in film and television, and during his career he also worked in production and editing. He is credited with some of the films most associated with Israeli cinema of the era, including 'Under the Nose', 'Stolen Father', 'Beyond the Sea' and 'Max and Morris'. His funeral will take place tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. at Yarkon Cemetery.
