Health equality report reveals deep life expectancy gaps between center and periphery

|
A health equality report has exposed significant disparities between central Israel and peripheral regions. Life expectancy in Tel Aviv and central Israel is higher than in peripheral areas. The availability of doctors, physicians and healthcare professionals is substantially greater in the center of the country. Infant mortality rates in the Arab sector are 2.7 times higher than in the Jewish sector, with this gap being particularly pronounced in the southern region, where Arab infant mortality is four times higher. Additionally, the number of hospital beds in Israel is half the average of developed nations.
