Eyal Eshel, father of lookout soldier Roni who fell in battle at Nahal Oz post on October 7, delivered remarks in a statement by families of hostages and fallen from the October Council in front of the Kirya in Tel Aviv. He said that "Roni and her friends fell while defending the Gaza envelope communities. Roni won't return but we demand justice." He added: "We are stopping the country on August 17 because we do not agree that more families should join the circle of bereavement." Reut Recht-Adri, mother of Ido Adri who was murdered at Nova on October 7, said that "there has never been a general strike in the economy for the immediate and clear rescue of human lives - it's time."
