Three children were stung by scorpions in northern Israel and evacuated to the pediatric emergency room at Rambam Hospital during the past 24 hours. The hospital reported that a nine-year-old boy from Nesher was stung while hiking in the forest, a nine-year-old girl from a moshav in the Jezreel Valley was stung while playing in a game hall when she moved a mattress and a two-year-old toddler from Yokneam was also stung by a scorpion hiding under a mattress. In all three cases, the children did not require special treatment beyond observation and were released home.
