The Defense Ministry signed a defense export agreement with the Cypriot Defense Ministry, under which Israel will supply Cyprus with an offshore patrol vessel (OPV) equipped with a range of Rafael naval systems. According to the Defense Ministry's announcement, the deal was led by the SIBAT division of the Israeli ministry and the Armament and Defense Capabilities Development Directorate of the Cypriot Defense Ministry. The agreement was signed by Defense Ministry Director-General Maj. Gen. (Res.) Emir Baram and his Cypriot counterpart Stelios Kontoris.
