IDF Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir yesterday approved the IDF combat schedule for 2026, which was distributed to all IDF units. The IDF spokesperson stated that the schedule includes all missions, drills, training, readiness, equipment and resources for 2026. "The schedule was formulated in accordance with lessons learned from the war and the development of a new concept of defense, alertness and readiness," the statement said. According to the schedule, efforts will be made next year to maintain regular training. "Reserve soldiers are expected to perform about six weeks of mission days in 2026, not including training days, organization, return to readiness and processing." Reserve soldiers are expected to serve approximately 60 days in total.
