12th victim: One-year-old infant from northern Israel dies from measles complications

ynet|
An 11-month-old infant has died from complications of measles. The Ministry of Health reported that the infant, who did not suffer from underlying conditions but was not vaccinated against the disease, was transferred about a week ago from the Northern Medical Center (Poriya) to Rambam Hospital, where he was connected to ECMO. The Ministry of Health also noted that "in most of the other 11 fatalities, those who died were healthy infants with no underlying conditions who were not vaccinated against the disease. The Ministry of Health reminds again that measles is a preventable disease through an effective and safe vaccine. The vaccine saves lives."
