In a statement delivered alongside Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Cyprus President Nikos Christodoulides, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that "we agreed to expand military and security cooperation between us." In his statement, Netanyahu delivered a message to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, without mentioning him by name: "To those who fantasize that they can establish empires and control our countries, I say: forget it. It will not happen. Don't even think about it. We are committed and capable of defending ourselves, and cooperation strengthens these capabilities. Together, we democracies in the Eastern Mediterranean will promote security, prosperity and freedom."
