Hamas Denies Report of Agreement to Release Hostages for Ceasefire: 'Fake News'

|
Senior Hamas official Sami Abu Zuhri denied reports that the organization agreed to release between seven and nine hostages in exchange for a ceasefire and the release of Palestinian prisoners. Abu Zuhri told Al Jazeera TV: 'The occupation is trying to confuse the situation with false news. There is no truth to rumors about the movement agreeing to release hostages in exchange for a two-month ceasefire.' He added: 'We are ready to release all hostages at once, provided the occupation commits to a ceasefire with international guarantees.'
