Herzog on Soroka attack: 'Our values under attack by jihadist regime'

Itamar Eichner|
President Isaac Herzog addressed the direct hit on Soroka Hospital in Beer Sheva, stating: "A baby in intensive care and his worried mother by his bedside, a dedicated doctor moving from patient to patient, an elderly woman in a nursing home - these were Iran's targets." According to him, "Soroka is one of the best hospitals in Israel. The dedicated hospital staff - Jews and Arabs alike - work there in exceptional harmony, united in the sacred mission - saving lives of all religions, beliefs and ways of life - Jews and Muslims, Israelis and also Palestinians. We well remember the magnitude of the hour and the values of humanity and humaneness, the values of civilization, which are under attack by a jihadist regime that seeks to destroy us."
