Police announced that ahead of the "Million Man Rally" organized by Haredi groups against military conscription in Jerusalem, Highway 1 will be closed to private vehicles in both directions between Latrun Junction and Givat Shaul Junction from 12:00 until the end of the event. This includes the connection at Shaar HaGai Junction from Highway 38 to Highway 1 eastbound. Local residents will be allowed through only upon presenting appropriate identification. In Jerusalem, the following streets will be closed: Givat Shaul and Jaffa Streets between HaTurim and Yirmiyahu; Givat Shaul-Ramot interchange; Ben Zvi Street, Rabbi Shmuel Baruch Street and Shazar Boulevard toward the entrance to the city and Givat Shaul interchange; Herzl Boulevard from Rabin Junction toward the String Bridge; Malkei Yisrael-Sarei Yisrael intersection toward Nordau Square and Yirmiyahu Street.
