Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan ahead of potential negotiations he may hold with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Ankara. During the conversation, which he described as 'significant,' Zelenskyy thanked Erdogan for his support and emphasized his readiness for direct negotiations with his Russian counterpart to end the war. According to him, Russian attacks on his country continue, while Moscow 'remains silent all day' regarding the proposal for a direct meeting. 'This is a very strange silence,' he noted.
