The prosecution submitted an indictment to the Beer Sheva District Court against an Ashkelon resident (34) for assaulting his elderly mother who requires nursing care. According to the charges, the son attacked his mother while alone with her in the apartment, physically assaulted her and caused bleeding in her genital area. In another incident, the defendant arrived at his parents' home, changed the door cylinder lock and prevented his mother's caregiver from entering the apartment. Police arrested the defendant who was released on bail - days later he returned to her home, beat her all over her body and caused severe injuries that led to her hospitalization.
