National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir attacked Government Legal Advisor Gali Baharav-Miara and the Police Internal Investigations Department in response to the indictment filed against Chief Superintendent Amit Polk, who assaulted protesters in Caesarea. He stated that 'this is how the deep state operates, intimidating police officers, trying to fabricate cases against ministers and the prime minister, and now attempting to obstruct the appointment of the Shin Bet chief. Polk is a qualified and worthy police officer, and as far as it depends on me, he will remain an officer in the Israel Police.'
