Palestinian sources report of blast in northern Strip; IDF confirms strike on terror tunnel

IAF aircrafts targeted a smuggling tunnel in northern Gaza Strip late Tuesday night. No injuries were reported.
Palestinian sources reported seeing multiple Israeli aircrafts fly over the location of the blast just before midnight. One source said two missiles were fired at an unknown target.

The IDF confirmed the strike, saying it came in response to recent rocket fire on Israel.
  • Earlier Tuesday, the IAF targeted aterror cell which was identified as attempting to fire projectiles at Israel.
A Palestinian medical source said two people were killed and one wounded in the strike, which took place east of the Maghazi refugee camp.
Military sources told Ynet that the cell was comprised of five individuals who were preparing to launch a rocket at Israel. It is still unclear which militant organization they were associated with.
