Lebanese foreign minister: 'No shame' in negotiating with Israel if goal is ending war

|
Lebanon's Foreign Minister Yussef Reggie addressed negotiations with Israel on a peace agreement between the countries, stating in an interview with the Saudi newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat that 'the national priority today is to restore full sovereignty. It is not a shame for the state of Lebanon to negotiate with Israel if the goal is to end the war, restore the land and ensure stable peace that will preserve the dignity of the Lebanese people.' He indirectly referred to Hezbollah: 'The adventures carried out through what are called 'arms' have proven that the result was neither liberation nor victory.'
