France is preparing for rallies and marches in several cities following the murder of far-right activist Quentin Darneck, 23, in Lyon last week. President Emmanuel Macron called on demonstrators to maintain 'calm,' asserting that 'no violence is legitimate.' He emphasized that the government is on alert to ensure the marches proceed peacefully, amid police concerns that the events could spiral out of control and violence could erupt between left-wing and right-wing activists. Darneck was beaten to death at a protest against politician of Palestinian descent Rima Hassan. Police have arrested 11 suspects so far in connection with the murder.
