Yisrael Beiteinu supports protest movement – Tourism Minister Stas Misezhnikov on Sunday sent a letter to Cabinet Secretary Tzvi Hauser, in which he protested over the short period of time his faction was given to study the recommendations of the Trajtenberg Report ,tasked with addressing the socioeconomic protest.
In a conversation with Ynet, Misezhnikov criticized the report, saying it was an attempt to cover up the real issues. "If the report will be up for a vote tomorrow, it would be considered underhanded opportunism, and we would have to vote against it."

"It is unreasonable to discuss and adopt the committee's recommendations, which is of high importance to Israel 'ssociety and economy, in zero preparation time," he said.
The minister noted that six weeks ago, Yisrael Beiteinu drafted a new socioeconomic plan, which it presented to the Socio-Economic Cabinet, but was completely ignored.
"There are negative things in the Israeli society that must be amended, and the Trajtenberg report does not address existing social hardships – it only plugs holes in a breached dam, instead of building a new one," he added.
"Adopting the report in a rushed vote, two days after Rosh Hashana is not acceptable – it's like throwing sand in one's eyes," he said.
