Police uncovered a large amount of weapons in a Bat Yam kindergarten on Wednesday. The children were evacuated from the building as sappers cleared the cache which included rifles, guns, grenades and narcotics. Police estimate that a crime organization stashed the weapons in the kindergarten thinking no one would look for it there.
After receiving information about the weapons, police detectives arrived at the kindergarten and within minutes discovered the weapons stored in a warehouse near the yard where the children played. Within minutes dozens of children were evacuated from the area to allow sappers to clear the weapons.

Police estimate that one of Tel Aviv's crime organizations used the spot as a weapons cache.
"This is a great miracle," a Tel Aviv District police official said. "I don't want to think what would have happened had a kid reached the weapons."
The objects were turned over to the police crime lab where detectives hope evidence linking the offenders will be found.
