A Qassam rocket fired by Gaza terrorists exploded in an open area in the Eshkol Regional Council on Friday evening, in yet another violation of the ceasefire agreement reached between Israel and the Palestinians terror groups. No injuries or damage were reported in the attack.
The truce went into effect overnight Tuesday, but has been breached several times since, with rockets hitting southern Israeli cities. The latest blast occurred on Thursday night, hitting the same northwestern Negev district.

Islamic Jihad Deputy Secretary-General Ziad Nakhleh said earlier Friday that the group is committed to the truce, noting that the latest rocket fire on Israel was the act of individuals.
"All sides – Israel, the Palestinians and Egypt – are aware of the complexity of the situation in the field. With open borders, problems in these areas are an expected issue that can be taken care of," he said.
Meanwhile, the Islamic Jihad's military wing spokesman Abu Ahmed addressed the IAF strikes that were carried out in response to the rocket fire after the truce was reached, and said that the latest Israeli "breaches" were expected. "We are waiting to get a clearer picture but believe that things in Gaza are heading towards a lull," he added.
