The sexual harassment complaint filed against MK Ayoob Kara (Likud )in September was dismissed by the police Wednesday.
The police found that the complaint – alleging that MK Kara harassed a female subordinate in his office – was without merit. The recommendation to close the case was referred to the State Prosecutor's office.

The investigation into the allegations was launched in September and headed by the National Fraud Unit. The complaint detailed events that had allegedly took place in 2009, when the complainant worked for Kara during his campaign for the 18th Knesset.
Investigators questioned Kara – who vehemently denied the allegations against him – under advisement several times. They also questioned his staff.
- "Investigators concluded that there was no evidentiary basis for the complaint," the police report said.
Throughout the investigation, Kara maintained that the allegations were bogus, and that the woman made them up after he passed her over for a promotion.
