"All options are on the table" regarding Iran, IDF Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Benny Gantz saidTuesday.
Speaking to reporters after meeting with new recruits at the army induction base in Tel Hashomer, Gantz said "Iran is continuing with its efforts to achieve nuclear capabilities. This is a severe global and regional problem and we should not ignore it, because (Iran) is the only country in the world that is developing nuclear weapons while calling to annihilate another country."

Gantz also addressed the IDF recruitment debate ,asserting that "the enlistment of haredim isn't a military issue, but a political one." He said that the army will carry out any decision the legislators make.
Gantz urged the new recruits to adhere to the IDF's safety guidelines and warned them not to consume alcohol ."This isn't a Friday night party you are going to. We have a mission to defend the country. The State of Israel has enough problems as it is," he said.
"The army knows how to respond. Be proud of what you are doing. I believe it's a privilege to serve in the IDF. It may be required by law, but it's a privilege. Remember that. Your service will accompany you throughout your entire lives," Gantz told the young soldiers.
