Following the assassination of Hamas military chief Ahmed Al-Jabari ,Palestinian factions in Gaza have threatened to "burn down Israeli towns." Indeed, Israel's south has been subjected to ceaseless rocket attacks in recent days – but a video allegedly documenting the launch of a Fajr-5 missile toward Tel Aviv turned out to be false.
Hamas' military wing is trying to prove, mainly to Gazans, that it possesses the capability to launch long-range rockets. It therefore released on Wednesday and Thursday video clips that allegedly shows such rockets being launched toward Tel Aviv.
