Another rocket fired at Tel Aviv area intercepted

Iron Dome intercepts rocket fired at Tel Aviv area for the second time in one day as air raid sirens sound at around 6:40 pm. More than 100 rockets fired at Israel on Sunday

For the second time on Sunday, the Iron Dome system intercepted a rocket fired at the Tel Aviv area. An air raid siren sounded in Tel Aviv at around 6:40 pm, followed by a blast. Hamas' military wing claimed responsibility for the firing and said the rocket was a Fajr 5 missile.
Air raid sirens sounded all across the Tel Aviv metropolitan area including in Rishon Lezion, Bat Yam, Holon and Bnei Brak. This is the first time since the beginning of Operation Pillar of Defense that two rounds of rockets were fired at Tel Aviv.

Earlier on Sunday, five people were injured when a Ofakim on Sunday. The wounded include a couple and their 2-year-old daughter who were in the car, a man in his 50s and a young man. Two sustained moderate wounds and the rest were lightly injured.
They were rushed to the Soroka Medical Centerin Beersheba. Earlier, a Grad hit a house in Ofakim. A woman was lightly injured, and several people suffered from anxiety. Since midnight, more than 100 rockets were fired at Israel from the Gaza Strip.

Itzik Alfasi, a Magen David Adomofficial said, "There were two landings – one rocket hit a house and the other landed near the car. The injuries were mainly caused by Grad shrapnel, after the parents and the toddler ran out of the car to seek shelter."
Meanwhile, the Air Force bombed the house of Yahia Abia ,the head of Hamas' rocket unit. Abia was killed in the attack and the Palestinians are reporting that four other people were also killed, including three women.
Abia was responsible for the major part of the rocket fire directed at Israel in the past few days. He was killed roughly an hour after a heavy rocket barrage hit Israel's south. The strike was part of the IDF's expanded activity in Gaza.
