Police chief sends sharp letter to Ben-Gvir: 'Budget for police held up by you – situation cannot continue'

|
Police Commissioner Danny Levy sent a sharp letter to National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir stating that "the delay of budgets legally allocated to the police leads to harm to its functioning, service to citizens and the security of the state and the public. A situation in which the police's designated budgets are held up in your ministry cannot, under any circumstances, continue." The letter was sent after Ben-Gvir announced the freezing of hundreds of millions from the police budget.
