After a Bulgarian probe determined that Hezbollah was behind the Burgas attack ,the organization's second in command Naim Qassem said on Wednesday that "Israel is running an international campaign against the Lebanese and Palestinian resistance."
Qassem said that Israel wishes to divert international attention from "Israeli aggression and the occupation, so the world will not see the real problem is Israel."

According to Qassem, Israel also aims to be accepted among the world's nations, to exert international pressure on the resistance and to "involve foreign forces to stand by its side, to ease the burden of fighting the resistance."

Hassan Nasrallah 'sdeputy said that Israel has turned to scare tactics after its failure to defeat the "resistance" through military means. He stressed that "the resistance is strong and will go on," adding that the Burgas probe allegations "will not change the facts."
Meanwhile, Lebanese MP and member of the Hezbollah-affiliated Baath Party Assem Qanso commented on Bulgaria's assertion that Hezbollah was behind the bombing and said it was part of a joint Israeli-US plan against Lebanon .
"There is a possibility that Israel was behind the attack," he said. "If Hezbollah had wanted to react to the assassination of Imad Mughniyeh it would have done so with a bigger attack," Qanso added.
