Beersheba's Magistrate's Court sentenced former Kiryat Malachi Mayor Moti Malka to 250 hours of community service, six months probation and NIS 30,000 compensation to each of the two complainants in the case.
Malka, 60, confessed to the allegations and was convicted in the course of a plea bargain in sexual harassment ,fraud and breach of trust in relation to zoning issues.

Following allegations, Malka resigned his role as mayor and will not run in the next election.
Malka was arrested in 2012 on suspicion of raping a female employee and accepting sexual favors from another woman. While in jail, several other women came forward with complaints that he had taken advantage of them sexually.
A state witness also implicated the mayor in bribery violations and further sexual impropriety. In return, the witness was promised immunity from prosecution.
According to Judge Ron Solkin, "The acts with which the defendant is charged are severe, as he essentially did harm to both their psyches and bodies – harm that could haunt the victim for the rest of life."
Nonetheless, the judge approved the plea bargain and decided not to sentence Malka to imprisonment.
