Severed cow and sheep heads were found in a fountain in a residential neighborhood in the southern city of Beersheba ,early Monday morning. The fountain wall read: "All suffering is equal, a meal can be replaced, life cannot." Municipal workers cleared the exhibit to a nearby dumpster.

A severed goat's head was found in Tel Aviv's Dizengoff Square ,together with a sign reading in red paint: "End animal slaughter." Shortly thereafter police received another report, this time of a severed cow head found on Eben Gvirol Street, along with a sign protesting slaughterhouses, and a nearby fountain was painted red.

Later, the severed head of a sheep was found near a fountain in Jaffa 'sNoga district. The fountain was also painted red and the words "the slaughterhouses are now transparent" were spray-painted on the walls.
Police estimate that animal rights activists are behind this horrifying campaign, since the graffiti "FREE 269", representing activists against slaughtering of animals in industrialized economies was found on the scenes. Due to the numerous instances of these events, police set up a special investigation team, and eight activists were arrested in March.
