Following recent incidents in which babies died after being left in cars, Magen David Adom launched a campaign to increase public awareness, urging the public to be alert and look into parked cars.
"MDA paramedics are called in time and time again for such tragedies. We urge the public to maintain safety procedures and pay attention if parked cars have children in them, so we can make it through the summer in peace," MDA director Eli Bean said.

"Increased attention by the public could save the lives of many infants," Magen David Adom Spokesman Zachy Heller said.
Over the past two weeks, paramedics were called in to treat three cases of infants left in cars. Some two weeks ago, a nine-month-old baby was left in a car in Ramat Gan; on Sunday a five-month-old baby was left in a car in the West Bank; and on Monday a two-year-old was left in a car, also in the West Bank. All three died.
Deputy Transportation Minister Tzipi Hotovely announced Monday that the Knesset will hold an emergency conference on the issue of children being forgotten in cars. The conference will include representatives of the Council for Child Welfare, the Transportation Ministry and the National Road Safety Authority.
