Nahal Brigade soldier who collapsed last week during training run opens eyes at Sheba Medical Center

After being under life support for several days, Nahal soldier who collapsed last week during a training run opened his eyes Monday, Yedioth Ahronoth reported Tuesday.
The soldier's friends and comrades were at his bedside when he opened his eyes at the Chaim Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer, said a few words and started breathing on his own.

"There are miracles and we must believe. Israelis all pray for his wellbeing," said Tzvika Levy, the Kibbutz Movement's officer of lone soldiers.
The soldier made aliya from the US some two years ago. Last year he joined the IDF 's Nahal Brigade.
  • Last week he participated in a training run with his teammates and collapsed. He was evacuated to the hospital.
His mother flew in from the US and has been by his side with his brother, who had also made aliya several years ago.
