Four Palestinian girls, aged two to six, were found dead in a vehicle in the West Bank town of Tarqumiyah. Another girl, three-years-old, was rushed to the government hospital in Hebron in serious condition.

The Tarqumiyah council head explained the girls - all related - were with their families, who were picking olives in a nearby field.
According to him, the girls went away when their parents' attention was diverted, and accidentally locked themselves in the vehicle, where they were found unconscious by their relatives.
- The girls were rushed to two hospitals by Red Crescent ambulances - where four of them were pronounced dead.
Palestinian security services are investigating the possibility the girls were left in the vehicle by their parents.
