Police investigating 'explicit threat' against Attorney General Baharav-Miara

|
Police have opened an investigation into a letter found near a residence in Jerusalem, which contained an explicit threat to harm Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara. The investigation was launched following a request from the Ministry of Religious Services, which noted that former Chief Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef had warned of a "threat that seems real and could immediately endanger the life of the Attorney General." The ministry's Director General, Yehuda Avidan, wrote to Police Commissioner Danny Levi that "under the direction of Justice Minister and Acting Minister of Religious Services, Yariv Levin, I was instructed to act immediately with law enforcement agencies to address this matter."
