Argentina's government announced it will file a criminal complaint against Israeli energy company Navitas Petroleum, its subsidiaries and company executives, alleging illegal activity in the oil and gas sector in the Falkland Islands, over which Buenos Aires claims sovereignty. According to President Javier Milei's office, the companies violated Argentine law by operating under licenses granted by Britain in the northern basin of the islands. Navitas, traded in Tel Aviv and operating the Sea Lion oil project, holds a 65% stake in it.
