It is still unclear who was behind the explosion on the Golan Heights on Sunday that claimed the life of a 13-year-old boy and left four others wounded, says Ron Ben-Yishai, but Israel must tread carefully in responding.
Mohammed Karaka was with his father, a Defense Ministry civilian contractor working on the border fence, when their vehicle was hit by an explosion. Mohammed was killed in the blast and his father seriously wounded, along with three others. (Mohammed was originally reported to have been 15 years of age.)
