The Military Prosecution filed an indictment against two operatives in a terror cell in the Nablus area suspected of planning a series of attacks and kidnapping an IDF soldier, and attempting to assassinate National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir using an explosive drone. According to the indictment, the two operated starting in late 2023 to advance "military" activity - they equipped themselves with a large number of weapons including Kalashnikov rifles, handguns, a hunting rifle and ammunition. In addition, according to the indictment, they worked to recruit additional terror operatives and train them, and discussed various attack scenarios against Israeli civilians and security forces. During their interrogation, it was revealed that in 2024 they developed the idea to carry out an attack against Ben-Gvir and subsequently one of them proposed using an explosive drone to carry out the assassination.
